Private lessons are available Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 2.00pm and all day Saturdays (daylight hours).

Lessons are conducted on flat, smooth surfaces free from debris or anything else that would hinder your performance during the lesson. Covered areas are preferred to make sure excess heat or rain does not affect the booking time and for this reason Saturday gives a greater choice of venues. Weekday bookings will usually be outdoor venues and subject to the weather being dry.

The current rate is $50 per one hour lesson for one person and this price will include all equipment supplied by SkateAbout. If you would like someone else to join in add $10 for each person (ie 3 people in the lesson would cost $50 + $10 + $10 = $70 - this is the total cost shared between all 3 skaters). Up to 4 is considered maximum for a private lesson, after that you should look at a group rate that gives more time for the lesson so everyone gets a good share of personal tuition.

The Private Lesson rate will also include (if you need it) high quality skates, knee pads, wrist pads, elbow guards and a helmet if you don't have one. Of course if you have all your own gear bring it along.

Content is taken from the worldwide IISA programs which are run for our courses at various places around Perth from time to time. Absolute Beginners right through to good skaters who want to learn more complex moves are welcome as Andrew Curran your instructor can teach a great variety of accredited skills. All IISA skills are listed in the IISA Skills section of this website and note that a much larger repetoire of jumps, inline hockey, street and trick skating can be taught. Notes are provided on each IISA skill highlighting the main points of that skill. Safety equipment is encouraged and can be supplied free should you not have your own. Where to skate, what to buy and skate maintenance are all subjects that can also be discussed during your lesson.

Alternative types of lessons can be discussed should you be after a specific type of skating requirement, such as a personal escort around a particular skating circuit like the Narrows Bridges etc. Skaters can be taken down the tricky hills or over the roughest pathways and shown how to deal with these obstacles the best way possible for that skaters ability. Just give Andrew Curran a call to find out more on 0407 855 778.
